The task
Build a site for the school branch of the Movement of the First: a student joins on their own, suggests an idea to improve the school and sees what happens to it, and news and event photos live in one place.
What got in the way
News and photos are scattered across Telegram and MAX channels, membership requests are collected by hand, and students' ideas get lost in chats - nobody knows whether the council has looked at them.
Project constraints
- The audience is school students: lively language, and everything has to work on a phone the first time
- The Movement's colours - blue, red and white - without heavy officialdom
- The council reviews ideas once a week, and the author should see the status of their idea
What we built
- Hero «Be at the centre of events with the First» with «Join» and «Suggest an idea» buttons
- «This is us» photo wall with school events and a counter of events per year
- News cards by topic: quizzes, charity, creativity
- Idea form with a category and class and a «Students' ideas» feed with statuses: under review, in progress, done
- Mobile version for those who open it on a phone between lessons
