In Russia, an educational organisation's website must publish mandatory information besides programmes and booking. The list is set by article 29 of the federal law on education, publication rules by Government decree No. 1802 and the section structure by Rosobrnadzor order No. 1493.
A school site has two audiences. Parents need to see quickly what and how children learn, what it costs and how to sign up. Inspectors need the mandatory information: in Russia, since 1 September 2024 its structure is set by Rosobrnadzor order No. 1493, and the section must be reachable from the homepage and the main menu.
We built the site of Bilingvium, a private school with a dedicated information section, designed a site for a school branch of the Movement of the First and a landing page for the UMOK online school. We know the usual pitfalls: documents posted as unreadable scans, booking hidden at the bottom, children's photos published without consent.

Mistakes we avoid
A twenty-page scan can't be read on a phone or found by search. Where possible we publish text, the rest as browser-friendly files.
The section must be reachable from the homepage and the main menu - order No. 1493 requires it. It's in the menu from the first mockup.
Only with parents' consent; otherwise faces are blurred. That's how our own work is done.
Parents won't scroll to the end. The booking button is on every screen and pinned on mobile.

What must a Russian school website include?+
The «Information about the educational organisation» section with subsections set by Rosobrnadzor order No. 1493: general information, structure and governance, documents, education, management, teaching staff, facilities and accessibility, paid services, finances, vacancies for admission and more. It must be reachable from the homepage and the main menu.
Do we need a low-vision version?+
For an educational organisation it's part of an accessible environment, and order No. 1493 requires the site to be navigable and searchable with images turned off. We build one guided by GOST R 52872-2019.
What about personal data and children's photos?+
Forms collect only what's needed and ask for a separate consent; a privacy policy is published. Children's photos only with parents' consent, otherwise faces are blurred.
We're a state school. Will you build our official site?+
First we check where your region requires the official site to live - many schools have moved to the Gosweb platform. If so, you don't need a second one, but we can build a site for a project, branch or club.
Can we update the site ourselves?+
Yes. News, timetable, prices and documents are edited in the admin panel. We'll train a staff member and leave a guide.
