A landing page in 3 days: what the client needs to provide

Three days is a realistic timeline for a simple landing page if you have materials ready and know what you want. Without that, even the fastest studio ends up waiting on you. Here's what to prepare so the project doesn't stretch into a month.

When three days is realistic and when it's not

Three days is enough for a single-page site with a contact form, two or three screens, text and photos. Mobile-responsive layout, basic analytics, form connected to email or CRM - all of that fits.

It won't be enough if you need payment gateway integration, a user dashboard, custom calculators or ten unique content blocks. That's no longer a landing page, it's a mini-site, and the timeline shifts to one or two weeks.

The second bottleneck is materials. If there's no text, photos don't work, and the logo is a JPG with a white background, development stops. A designer can't build what doesn't exist, and a developer can't integrate a service you haven't granted access to yet.

Text: don't make it up as you go

Landing page copy isn't generic 'about us' from a template. It's a concrete offer: what you're selling, to whom, why the client should submit a form here. If that's not clear before you start, the designer draws abstract blocks and you end up redoing half of it.

Prepare the structure: headline, offer, three or four benefits or service blocks, call to action. It doesn't need to be literary, it needs clear logic. We can polish the wording, but the core message has to be there.

If there's no text at all, budget one or two days to create it. The studio can write it for you, but that's a separate service and separate time - those three days for development don't include copywriting.

Photos and logo in proper quality

A phone photo compressed by WhatsApp turns to mush on a 1920-pixel screen. Logo in PNG with transparent background - good. In JPEG, cut out in Paint - bad. In PDF from a business card - not an option.

Ideal: logo in vector format (SVG, AI, EPS), photos at least 1500 pixels wide, source files at maximum quality. If you don't have your own photos, say so right away - we'll find stock images, it's faster than waiting for you to find 'something suitable'.

Team portraits, product photos, office shots - all of this is needed before we start. If you send it midway through, the designer rebuilds the block from scratch, and that eats half a day out of three.

Examples and references instead of 'make it look good'

'Modern design' means nothing. For one person it's gradients and animations, for another it's white background and large type. Show two or three landing pages you like. They don't have to be from your industry, just the visual direction.

Send links with comments: 'this header', 'this kind of form', 'this colour'. The designer will immediately understand what to aim for and won't be guessing on the third round of revisions.

If you have no examples, at least describe the mood. Strict corporate style or bright and bold. For B2B or for individual clients. That also narrows the search and saves time on redos.

Fast feedback on the mockup

Three days means one day for design, one day for build, one day for revisions and launch. If the mockup sits with you for two days without a response, the schedule breaks.

Approve the mockup within a few hours, one day maximum. If you need to show it to a partner or team, warn us in advance and we'll factor that into the timeline. But if you disappear, we move to other tasks and your project goes back in the queue.

Give mockup feedback in one list, all at once. 'Change the button colour', two hours later 'and the headline too', two more hours 'let's go back to how it was' - that kills timelines. Look carefully, collect all changes in one message.

Access credentials in advance

If we're connecting the landing page to your domain, we need DNS access. If the form sends leads to your CRM, we need an API key or login. If we're installing analytics, we need access to Google Analytics or another platform.

Request all of this from your admin or hosting provider before we start. The cPanel password you've been looking for three days is two days of downtime. If there's no access and nowhere to get it, we'll host it ourselves and you can transfer it later.

API keys, tokens, logins - send everything securely. Direct message or email is fine. A screenshot of a password in a group chat is a bad idea.

One point of contact on the client side

If revisions come from the director, the designer, the marketer and your programmer neighbour, we get four conflicting opinions. Someone asks to enlarge the button, someone else to shrink it. You end up not knowing what you want, and we're stuck.

Appoint one person who makes decisions and communicates with us. Discuss internally as much as you like, but the output should be one comment, one decision.

This isn't about control, it's about speed. Three days is a sprint, and sprints don't have committees.

What you'll actually get in three days

A working single-page site: design, responsive build, contact form sending to email or Telegram, basic analytics, connected to your domain. Live, opens on all devices, leads come through.

You won't get: complex animation, ten unique blocks, CRM or payment integration (unless agreed in advance), SEO optimisation. All of that can be added, but it's the next phase, not three days.

If materials are ready, revisions come fast, and access is in place, three days is enough. If any of that stalls, plan for a week. Naming the real timeline honestly is better than promising the impossible.

In short

A landing page in three days isn't a marketing gimmick, it's realistic if the client is ready. Text, photos, references, fast feedback, access credentials - without these, even the fastest studio will be waiting. Prepare materials before starting, appoint one person in charge, respond quickly, and in three days you'll have a working page.

Frequently asked

Can you build a landing page in three days if I have nothing at all?

No, not if there's no text, photos or understanding of structure. But we can help prepare materials - that adds two or three days to the timeline and appears as a separate line item in the quote.

Is three days with revisions or without?

With one round of revisions. If the first mockup needs major rework, that's a new iteration and additional time.

Will a three-day landing page be worse than one built in two weeks?

No, if the task is simple. Three days is enough for a quality single-page site. But if you need complex logic, custom blocks or integrations, that's a different scope and rushing will hurt quality.

What happens if I send revisions two days after seeing the mockup?

The project goes back in the queue and three days is no longer realistic. If the deadline is critical, agree on approval timing up front.
